Maternal allele mutation: Slippage synthesis furnishing evolutionary trend

چکیده

Gain or loss of repeat motifs leads to an allelic mismatch in the disputed child which is a deviation from Mendelian inheritance, thereby leading paternal putative father exclusion mother case maternal mismatch. This at one more loci major cause forensic inferences. The biological samples were genotyped using Powerplex®- Fusion 5C system kit and Investigator® Argus X-12 QS as per recommendations manufacturer. In this case, identification putrefied dead body with 22 autosomal STR loci, primarily analyzed by divulged locus D13S317. Alleles D13S317 allegedly belonging deceased observed 10/11, 11/11 10/10 respectively. To rule out particular locus, 12 X-STR amplified, all alleles completely matched mother. study indicates extension microsatellite motif (TATC) population Rajasthan. reported mutation rate was 0.14% 0.04% meiosis

Evolutionary Trend of Thrombolytics

Thrombolytic drugs have been used in the clinical arena to treat a wide variety of venous and arterial thromboembolic disorders which are a main cause of death. Thrombolytic molecules are plasminogen activators that convert the inactive plasminogen to the active proteolytic enzyme plasmin which dissolves the blood clot. Fibrin specific plasminoactivators such as tissue – type plasmino activator...

Elevated basal slippage mutation rates among the Canidae.

The remarkable responsiveness of dog morphology to selection is a testament to the mutability of mammals. The genetic sources of this morphological variation are largely unknown, but some portion is due to tandem repeat length variation in genes involved in development. Previous analysis of tandem repeats in coding regions of developmental genes revealed fewer interruptions in repeat sequences ...

Dynamics of microsatellite divergence under stepwise mutation and proportional slippage/point mutation models.

Recently Kruglyak, Durrett, Schug, and Aquadro showed that microsatellite equilibrium distributions can result from a balance between polymerase slippage and point mutations. Here, we introduce an elaboration of their model that keeps track of all parts of a perfect repeat and a simplification that ignores point mutations. We develop a detailed mathematical theory for these models that exhibits...

Evolutionary genetics of maternal effects

Maternal genetic effects (MGEs), where genes expressed by mothers affect the phenotype of their offspring, are important sources of phenotypic diversity in a myriad of organisms. We use a single-locus model to examine how MGEs contribute patterns of heritable and nonheritable variation and influence evolutionary dynamics in randomly mating and inbreeding populations. We elucidate the influence ...

High mutation rate of a long microsatellite allele in Drosophila melanogaster provides evidence for allele-specific mutation rates.

Within recent years, microsatellite have become one of the most powerful genetic markers in biology. For several mammalian species, microsatellite mutation rates have been estimated on the order of 10(-3)-10(-5). A recent study, however, demonstrated mutation rates in Drosophila melanogaster of at least one order of magnitude lower than those in mammals. To further test this result, we examined...
